Hello and welcome to the blog of continental poetry and reflections!
This blog contains poetry written by two childhood friends. Avemi’s poems are translated from Polish to English by greenlifenow aka kontynentalpoet. Greenlifenow writes and translates her own. work. Now we are very adult and still crazy enough to write poetry. But why not?
You may notice that some poems answer other poems or form a theme.
It happens and it is magical!
We live on different continents, far away from each other that’s why we call our blog continental. We like to travel, to those far and to close places. We like sunny and those rainy days.
A blog is a great place to meet talented poets, artists and other wonderful creative souls and people who found us by wandering.
Blogging is a such a great adventure. When I think how it began… It was supposed to be a blog about what’s happening on other continents, trends from popular fragrances to cooking, cars and whatever we wanted to write about.
Since we are poets at heart, we got a poetry blog.
We would like to thank all for visiting and we will visit you soon.

Thank you for joining us on wePoets, it’s much appreciated. We’d be happy to showcase your poetry should you want to share. Kirsten (my partner in crime on wePoets) and I write poetry together too, we became good friends through blogging and we live in different countries. 🙂

My pleasure. It just seemed to happen, we can’t even totally remember how we met exactly. When we started writing poetry the words just flowed. I’m guessing your experience wasn’t unlike ours? We’ll look forward to your submission and showcasing!

It is a such a great experience indeed! Sometimes instead of speaking we just write poems 🙂 unfortunately we outgrew the space on the original blog and set up two separate blogs:) we visit each other that way now. Both blogs are in Polish. This one is in English for my love of writing in the foreign language:)
